Helping Children with memory verses
In our Junior meeting of Christian Endeavour we often have a memory verse which we challenge the children to learn and remember for the following week. It is usually related to a Bible story or the teaching for the week.
The memory verse is introduced in different ways according to the different type.
1. Genesis 1:1 and Numbers 23 :19
- Children were given the whole set of words and asked to re-arrange the verse to make sense
- The verse repeated and rehearsed several times all together
- Words/phrases removed and the verse repeated
- More words/phrases removed and the verse recited until all have been taken away and the verse is said altogether
- Volunteers to repeat the verse individually
- Repeat the verse altogether
- Display the verse as a prompt to learn
