Juniors in Christian Endeavour

Wanting to know more about Christian Endeavour in England? Great!

Junior Christian Endeavour in England works through societies or groups that have registered and agreed to the aims of Christian Endeavour but they still operate under the leadership and guidelines of their own church or fellowship. The format of the meeting is adapted to suit the needs of the group but the aims of Christian Endeavour are to introduce children to the Lord Jesus and train them in His service.

“For Christ and the Church” is the motto or special code of Christian Endeavour. This means that the children are actively involved: leading, praying, telling stories, organising activities, presenting Bible readings, preparing refreshments, keeping registers  and accounts etc. etc. all under the guidance of CE leaders. This is a fantastic training ground for future Church workers and leaders.

We have great fun and learn together. In addition to the devotional side of our meeting we have games, quizzes, craft activities, bar-b-cues, trips away, parties and outdoor activities too. In fact we do all kinds of things that children enjoy in life.

The societies are linked throughout England and keep in touch through our NewsCEne magazine, which has a special section for Juniors. Some societies join together for fun days or other special events to give children a feeling of the wider Christian family. We join together for local and national celebrations and conventions including some which may be overseas.

Opportunity is given for society leaders to meet up to discuss any matters twice a year, but we are always available and can be contacted via our administration office.

If you are interested in starting a society or group and want to know more, then contact us and we will be pleased to help.
