Circus Fantastica came to Acre Mill, August 2011
As part of our outreach to the community and to bring youngsters into our JCE and Sunday School Ian and Elaine Coules were invited to present their ‘Circus Fantastica’ programme during the week 22nd-26th August. What a fabulous week we had!
Be amazed was the challenge and amazed we were…
The Church was decorated as a Circus Big Top
During the week about 50 children heard about what an amazing friend Jesus is, the amazing strength that we can claim through Jesus, the amazing love Jesus has for everyone, what an amazing healer He is and the resurrection power of our amazing Saviour.
Each day followed a similar pattern
This included fun action songs, Bible stories, puppets, quizzes, memory verses,
crafts, refreshments, magic tricks, talk-talk time and concluded with lunch together. We were amazed at what could be packed into two and a half hours each day!
It was brilliant!
Listening to Gods Word
The children went out singing and buzzing with excitement, carrying their creations from the craft time, repeating verses of scripture to gain points for their teams and had heard about the amazing things that Jesus has done for them.
On Friday night we invited parents and friends to come along and share a hot-dog supper and find out what the children had been learning about. We were amazed at the turn out! The church was packed…we ran out of hot dogs and only had a few crumbs left over from the masses of cakes.
We pray that many children’s lives have been touched by the amazing love of Jesus and that families have been awakened to His call. The seeds have been sown and we now pray for an abundant harvest.
